Anniversary Contest Winners

Every February, the Montana Council recognizes units for their participation in the Boy Scouts of America Anniversary. All Montana BSA units are invited to participate in our annual Anniversary Month contest.

2016 Winners:

Troop 1206, Helena, has been selected as the winner in the Smaller Troops’ division for Montana Council’s Anniversary Month Contest.

Venture Crew 2526, Bozeman, has been selected as the winner in the Venturing division for Montana Council’s Anniversary Month Contest.

Pack 3648, Belgrade, has been selected as the winner in the Cub Scout division for Montana Council’s Anniversary Month Contest.

Troop 1, Great Falls, has been selected as the winner in the larger Troops’ division for Montana Council’s Anniversary Month Contest!

Please join us in celebrating these units. They will be recognized formerly at the Annual Convention.

Units earn the beautiful purple “106th Anniversary Honor Unit” ribbon. The requirements are – complete any two (2) of the following activities during February:

• Attend a religious service as a unit (if possible), wearing your BSA uniforms
• Put up a BSA display in a business’ window.
• Conduct a service project.
• Perform a flag ceremony outside of your unit’s meeting, wearing Scout uniforms, for a school, service group, governmental meeting, care facility, or other appropriate gathering.
• Write a letter to the Editor. Thank your community for their support of Scouting, and name a few of your unit’s service projects.
• Secure a Mayoral Proclamation, recognizing BSA Anniversary Week, Feb. 2nd-8th.
• As a unit, wear your BSA uniforms to school one day.
