SE Corner: Back To Montana

After nearly nine years away, my family and I have the honor of returning to the Montana Council. What a council it has become!

Scouting in Montana has always invoked strong passion and dedication. Thanks to the ambitious vision, strong leadership and hard work by volunteers and staff, there is new excitement and anticipation of where Scouting in Montana is heading.

I could not be more pleased to see this optimism throughout the Council and I look forward to the wonderful progress we will make as we serve together.

As an introduction to my family.

I am married to an amazing woman, Louise, who on July 22nd lead her tackle football team to their second straight national championship. As the quarterback, she earned Most Valuable Player in the process with three touchdown passes, no incomplete passes and no interceptions!

My 15-year-old boy, Brady, worked at Scout Camp this summer and will have his Eagle Court of Honor in August.

My 12-year-old daughter, Rosina, was a Student Body Officer in her last school and is excited to get involved in activities in Montana.

My 8-year-old, Britton, is a Cub Scout who loves adventure.

Thank you for your warm welcome back. We look forward to making Montana home again.

Yours in Scouting,

Don Bean
Scout Executive/CEO
