Reporting Service Hours

With the holiday season upon us, many units will be busy giving back to others through Community Service Projects. Some units may be collecting food for a local food pantry or holding a coat drive. It’s important that each unit record their service hours on the myscouting.org service hours website.

Logging your service hours on the Journey to Excellence (JTE) website is one of the requirements of the JTE Award. It’s also important for the Council to be able to accurately tell the larger community how many hours of Community Service our Scouts are giving back.

Here are the steps to enter your Community Service Hours:

  1. Log in to your myscouting.org account and locate the link “Service Hours Reporting” on the left side.
  2. You will be redirected to enter a user ID and password. If you do not have yours for your unit, please contact Michelle Ferguson at (406) 761-6000 or michelle.ferguson@scouting.org
  3. Once logged in, you will be taken to a page where you can record service hours or look at reports of previously recorded projects.
  4. After providing the category (Food Drive, Conservation, etc.) you can enter the number of youth and adults participating and the total number of service hours.

If you need any assistance, please contact your District Executive.
