The Northwest District, Montana Council, BSA recently held its annual Cub Scout Wilderness Experience event at Grizzly Base Camp near Bigfork. This year’s theme was “Myths and Legends.”
Elves, Orcs, Hobbits, Halflings & Dwarves of the Realm (aka Cub Scouts of the Montana Council) were welcomed by Queen Barrina (Camp Director) her adult staff at “Scoutopia” to help battle the Kraken that lived in the lake there.
Cubs and adult volunteers from area packs braved the cool and rainy day to learn orienteering, campfire cooking, safe hiking skills, archery, and other life skills. A fun time was had by all.
