New Programs For K-M

Hopefully, everyone is excited about the new facility improvement happening at camp this fall and next spring.  In an effort to keep building on that excitement, K-M Scout Ranch is happy to announce the development of several new program areas for the summer of 2017.

Shooting sports has been a hallmark program at K-M for many years and now it is only getting better.  We are expanding our shooting sports areas to include two new elements.  First is the construction of a new 3D archery range.

Scouts who have shown proficiency in archery will be given the opportunity to hone their skills on this new range.

The range will include a variety of shooting positions including targets that are both above and below your shooting position as well as targets that are far and near.  The targets will be life size and 3 dimensional in construction to make the experience as close to real as possible.

The old west comes alive again in our Cowboy Action Shoot program.

Scouts who are fourteen or older will get their own cowboy nickname, learn to shoot revolvers, lever action rifles and shotguns that go along with an old west theme. Don’t forget your boots and ten gallon hat.

The new BSA Mountain Biking program is now able to fulfill the requirements for the cycling merit badge and will be available at camp in 2017.

In this program you can learn the fundamentals of mountain biking and experience the thrills of riding on one of our mountain trails.  We will have brand new bikes and gear for your use and there is no better terrain to ride on, so come on out and have some fun.
