Approximately 1,000 Cub Scouts, Boy Scouts, Venturers, Explorers and their leaders from across Montana will gather for the Montana Council Camporee Thursday, June 14th through Sunday, June 17th at the Broadwater County Fairgrounds, Townsend, Montana.
The theme is “Today’s Scouts, Tomorrow’s Leaders.” The Montana Council Camporee is offered only once every four years.
In 1907, Lord Baden Powell of Great Britain held the first Scout campout. Since then, Scouting has spread around the world and currently serves over 8,000 youth in Montana with over 3,000 registered adult volunteers.

On Friday night, the program will feature a band, “Stumbling Free” from Helena.
Saturday’s events include fireworks and a reunion for Silver Beaver Award recipients from all BSA councils across the United States.
