SE Corner: Fall Recruiting & Popcorn

Congratulations to all the volunteers and Montana Council staff for a great start to recruiting. Applications are starting to be turned in daily to the Great Falls Service Center and we couldn’t be more excited for these young men and women.

If you’re reading this, you already know the importance of Scouting to our families and in our communities. You may also know someone who isn’t aware of how incredible our program is and that it’s for the whole family. We ask that you invite someone you know to be a part of Scouting. They can find a unit online through Be A Scout or reach out to us directly. You can also forward this letter to anyone you think might like Scouting.

Thanks, also, to all the Popcorn Kernels and the entire popcorn training team, including several outstanding volunteers and council staff, for their efforts in training the packs, troops and Venturing Crews. The kick-offs were well attended and I thank everyone who could be there.

A special Thanks to Michelle Ferguson, our office manager, for her leadership on the sale. If anyone has any questions, please reach out to Michelle or Kirsten Steele in our Great Falls Service Center.

Scouts in your neighborhood should be coming door-to-door starting Sept. 25. Find all your popcorn information on our official popcorn page.

Remember, we are not just selling popcorn, we are selling Scouting!

Thank you again for your efforts in recruiting new Scouts. You could change a young person’s life forever.

Let’s continue to grow in 2021!

Yours in Scouting,

Dirk Smith
Scout Executive
