Bsa Program

Cub Scouts

Program Overview

We provide ready-made opportunities for your family to do fun things together—because together—we can all grow into our very best future selves!

Cub Scouts is an active program for children (both boys and girls) in kindergarten through fifth grade and their families. The program encourages learning, friendship and, most of all, getting out and having fun!

We’re all about encouraging boys and girls to make friends, be helpful to others, and do their very best no matter the outcome. With the help of powerful learning projects and exciting outdoor activities, we aim to teach children that doing their best can be a fun and rewarding experience—no matter the difficulty of the challenge.

In Montana, there are dozens of Cub Scout dens, with some communities having several options. These dens make up packs that hold events such as banquets, fairs, campouts and, of course, Pinewood Derby races. Parents, friends and leaders play active roles in the program as they encourage boys and girls to live the Cub Scout motto to “Do Your Best.” It truly is a family affair.

We invite any young girl or boy interested in having fun while learning valuable skills for the outdoors, school, sports and life to attend a local den meeting.
