Holiday Greetings,
At this special time of year, it is important to recognize and be thankful for all of our blessings, big and small.
To all of the Scouts, parents, volunteers, staff, and supporters worldwide who contribute to Scouting in Montana, know that we all continue to have a positive impact in our world.
Together, we’re finishing 2023 very strong:
- We have again grown the number of youth we serve across our state. This means more young men and women across the state are learning the values of how to be ethical and confident leaders. More are positively impacting their communities and serving others. And more are becoming the best version of themselves to go on to live their best lives.
- We’ve had record financial support through ICL and events; public support is strong. We continue to grow the number of businesses and individuals who give to Scouting. With increased support, we can serve more youth and train more adults to deliver outstanding programs.
- We’ve had another banner year in popcorn sales. Scouts sold over $1,361,889.00 of popcorn! And the top three sellers all sold over $10,000! Beyond directly benefiting the unit, helping reduce the cost for families, and funding activities for the individual Scout, participating youth sharpen their problem-solving, communication, presentation, and leadership skills. Congratulations to everyone involved.
These are some of the best gifts I can imagine at any time of the year, and all of you make it possible.
To each of you and those you hold dear, have a magnificently Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays!
Yours in Scouting,
Walt McIntosh
Montana Council Board President
