FLATHEAD LAKE
MELITA ISLAND
Looking for a private island experience? Melita Island, located on Flathead Lake – the largest natural freshwater lake in the Western US – offers many aquatic activities including large and small boat sailing, Water Sports, all forms of paddle craft, and inflatable obstacles.
Prefer to stay on dry land? No problem! Our STEM, Fine Arts, Scoutcraft, and Archery areas keep Scouts engaged.
Our Advanced Camper Experience (ACE) program is geared towards older Scouts looking for adventure, both on and off the island. Our Adult Leader program is second to none – from pie-making classes, hiking on Wild Horse Island, or attending one of our training courses – adult leaders are sure to find an activity they will enjoy too.
Whether you stay on land or enjoy our crystal-clear waters, join us this summer and enjoy island time.

Advanced Camper Experience (ACE)
Advanced campers will have an opportunity to participate in the Advanced Camper Experience (ACE). This program exists to give older Scouts an opportunity to use their skills in a high-adventure setting, such as whitewater rafting, hiking, water skiing, snorkeling, sailing, and more.
Adult Programs
Camp can also be fun, relaxing and a learning and rewarding experience for adults. At Melita Island we take this to a new dimension. Some learning experiences we’ve offered in prior years include: Intro to Outdoor Leader Skills and Safe Swim Defense. We have also provided several stress reducing events that you can participate in, which have included: Evening Socials, Boat Rides and Pie Making Classes.
Weekend Camping rentals
Melita Island is now available for pack, troop, and crew weekend camping rentals! Out-of-state units are welcome, too. Bring your own tents or use ours. We also have our lodge and kitchen available for units to rent.
