Hello, my name is Ashley Jerome. I am the Program Executive for Montana Council and will serve as the Camp Director at Melita Island this summer.
I am originally from Middletown, Penn., and moved to Great Falls in December 2022. I earned my Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education PreK-4 and Special Education K-8 from Shippensburg University, graduating in December 2016. I worked as an emotional/behavioral/autistic support special education teacher from December 2016 until January 2024.
Before moving to Montana, I served several camp staff roles at Hidden Valley Scout Reservation in the New Birth of Freedom Council. These include the ATV Director, Climbing Director, and Program Director. I was on staff at HVSR from 2013-2021. I joined the Melita Island camp staff in 2022 as Program Director and served in that role for two years before moving to the role of Camp Director for this upcoming summer.
I recently attended National Camping School at Philmont Training Center and greatly enjoyed networking with fellow Scouters. I am excited to bring back a myriad of ideas for our programs in the Montana Council.
Outside of Scouting, I love to travel! I have been to 11 countries with my favorite being Switzerland and Iceland. My goal is to make it to 15 countries in the next few years.
Please join us in welcoming Ashely to the Montana Council! We’re excited to have you aboard team 315.
