Family Camping Opportunity

Did you know that the Montana Council is offering a new Family Camping opportunity for young cub scouts?

Scouting is all about families and our new Akela Land camp has been designed with that in mind.

Akela Land is a resident camping experience designed for Lions, Tigers, Wolves, and Bears with their parents and families. It will be operating this summer from Aug 16th – 18th.

The University of Montana Western is partnering with Scouting leadership to bring you this opportunity and it will be held at the beautiful Birch Creek Outdoor Center just outside of Dillon, MT.

Activities will include: Shooting Sports, Nature Trail, Scavenger Hunt/Map Reading, Whittling Chip, Leave no Trace, Dinosaur Hunt, Bobcat Trail, Builder and other adventures.

There is some dormitory style lodging available or you are welcome to bring your own tent and have a true camping experience. Cost Is $120.00 per scout, $50.00 per adult and $45.00 per sibling.

A parent or other adult authorized by a parent is required to attend with a scout. Meals are provided during your stay.

Registration is now open and can be accessed by going online to: 2018 Camp Registration Page, or you can contact the council service center at 406-761-6000.
