Executive Staff Updates

If you are a regular reader of Montana Trails or active in the districts that have seen executive staff leave, then you are aware of openings for district executives.

We are proud to announce a couple of the changes we have made so far.

The first change made is Kyle Lantz accepting a new role as Field Director.

In this new role, Kyle will be the staff leader for the Badlands, Black Otter, Buffalo Plains, Central and Shortgrass districts – essentially the entire eastern third of the state.

Kyle will play a critical role with our staff covering those districts as he is a great resource to the eastern side of the state having served in three of those districts previously as a district executive, senior district executive, and district director.

The second change made is the addition of David Snyder to the team. Dave will serve as the district executive for Buffalo Plains and Central districts.

Dave has lived in Lewistown for over 20 years and is well suited for this role.  We have not had an executive staff member living in Lewistown for well over 10 years and this should provide the Scouting community a valuable resource to continue growing the program.

Dave started his assignment on April 1st and has hit the ground running with energy.  Dave’s email address is [email protected].

The third change is the hiring of Scott Jourdonnais as the new district executive for Bitterroot and Mullan Trail districts.

Scott has been a successful outside sales executive for Curtis 1000 for about 25 years residing in Missoula. We are excited to add Scott’s sales skills and passion for the program to our team.

Scott has two Eagle Scout sons and a daughter who recently joined Venturing. Scott’s first day will be May 1st.

We still have two openings, one serving Hi Line and Nu Ooh Ska and the other serving Black Otter.

We are extremely close to having those two vacancies announced and on the ground working.

Thank you for your patience as we have worked through the vacancies and served those districts the best way we could.

As always, if you have any questions about the hiring or unit needs please contact Kyle Smith, Director of Field Service – [email protected] – in Great Falls for assistance.
