Experience your own private island while attending Camp Melita Island. Melita Island, located on Flathead Lake – the largest natural freshwater lake in the western  US – inspires adventure through unique opportunities like sailing, all forms of paddle sports, nature, hiking Wild Horse Island and emergency preparation programs. Melita hosts programs for adult leaders too – including boat rides and pie-making class – and an A.C.E. program, designed to challenge older Scouts.

2024 registration Opens March 15, 2023

Registration for 2024 Camp Melita Island is open to Montana Council units ONLY from March 15th to April 14th, 2023. Beginning April 15th, 2023, registration is open for all.

Advanced Camper Experience (ACE)

Advanced campers will have an opportunity to participate in the Advanced Camper Experience (ACE). This program exists to give older scouts an opportunity to use their skills in a high-adventure setting, such as whitewater rafting, hiking, water skiing, snorkeling, sailing, and more.

Adult Programs

Camp can also be fun, relaxing and a learning and rewarding experience for adults. At Melita Island we take this to a new dimension. Some learning experiences we’ve offered in prior years include: Intro to Outdoor Leader Skills  and Safe Swim Defense. We have also provided several stress reducing events that you can participate in, which have included: Evening Socials, Boat Rides and Pie Making Classes.

All campers are required to submit completed Health & Medical Form.

Cancellations & refunds

Any unit or individual Scout canceling prior to June 1 may be able to receive a refund of fees less the $200 deposit and $75 camp readiness fee for each Scout and/or adult cancellation.

After June 1, no refunds will be issued until after the end of the camping season. Refunds will be determined by the Camp Director. Valid reasons include death, illness or military orders such as TDA or PCS. Scouts and adults will receive on-half of fees charged and/or paid for each camp.

All fees must be paid on time in order to hold your campsite, the unit may lose its place if fees are not on time. Campsite deposit is non-refundable.
