Congratulations to everyone who participated in the Popcorn sale. We had another amazing year. I know it took a huge team effort to make it happen and it is greatly appreciated.
I am hearing stories of successful sales from many Scouts across the state. Confirming a Scout is helpful and kind, I know many donated their sales back to the local communities while also raising thousands of dollars in support of our military men and women. This is a truly inspiring demonstration of the direct impact of Scouting on our youth and communities.
I have had the opportunity to travel all over the beautiful state of Montana, and the pleasure of visiting and involved with ten districts so far. I can honestly tell you that I have been so impressed with the dedication of our volunteers, Scout, Scouters, and staff.
Because of your commitment, our council is strong. We have recruited 1,047 new Cub Scouts, Scouts BSA, Venturing and Explorers this fall due to Team 315’s efforts. We have organized 24 new Packs, Troops and Explorer posts, which includes a total of 185 new youth. We continue to recruit new youth every day. Great job!
This is the fifth council that I have served and I stack our wonderful volunteers and staff against any council in the country. I would like to thank all the Districts for making me feel so welcome. I plan on visiting all the other Districts either this winter or by early spring.
Montana Council is having a great year. Thank you to everyone. Let’s continue to GROW through the end of 2019.
