Resident camp is the pinnacle of the yearly scouting experience.
Boys and girls will create lifelong memories, earn merit badges, and develop skills during the week they are at camp.
In the Montana Council we take camp seriously and are happy to announce that key leadership position for our resident camps have been selected for the 2018 season.
For Melita Island, Libby Brindley will be returning as Camp Director.
Libby has served as Camp Director for the past couple of years and we look forward to her return. Assisting Libby will be Sean Larson as the Program Director and Julie Hille as Camp Commissioner.
Both Sean and Julie have been on staff in the past and are excited for this summer. All three of these staffers have been working hard during the off season to help create the best possible experience at Melita Island this summer.
At K-M Scout Ranch this summer, we have an experienced staff in place as well.
Alex Schofield will be serving at the Camp Director. Alex has been on staff at K-M for the past 7 years, most recently as Program Director.
Helping Alex this year will be Gerald Penn as Program Director and Jon Brault as Camp Commissioner.
Both Gerald and Jon have filled these positions before and bring with them a love of Scouting along with their experience in running camp.
With both camps having experienced quality leadership in place, this summer looks to be one of the best seasons ever. If your unit has not registered for camp, there is not time to waste.
Melita Island is full for this season and no more reservations can be taken.
K-M has some room in weeks 1 and 3 available, but week 2 is full.
We do still have a couple of spots left for MOHAB session two or there a some provisional openings for the season.
We invite you to come to Montana Council camps this summer to create your own memories.
