January signals the beginning of our Investment in Character & Leadership (ICL) campaign.  This annual campaign plays an important role in the future of Scouting for the youth in the Montana Council. With that, it is time to look at your unit program calendar to see when a presenter from the district can visit with your Scout families to share the importance of the ICL campaign.

The presentation should only take about 5 minutes during your meeting.  There will be a short video to share on how the impact of Scouting plays a positive role in the lives of youth in Montana.  We ask that the presentation happen at the beginning of your meeting so we can announce the results of your support to the ICL campaign. Different levels of giving will offer your unit discounts to many items throughout the year, such as; discounts to the Scout store, camp attendance, and more. The unit presenter will be available to answer any questions or concerns you may have.  Also, to say “Thank You” for your support to Scouting, we have recognition items that can be sent to you or possibly given at the time of the meeting.

To help make planning a little easier, we ask that you appoint a unit ICL champion.  This individual will confirm the details of the meeting with the presenter, as well as, help with any needs the presenter might have prior to the presentation.  Details will be shared with you unit ICL champion to help in preparation.

A representative from the district will be in touch with you to schedule the presentation at your upcoming Scout meeting, Blue and Gold Banquet, or Court of Honor. Thank you for your time and participation to the 2014 Investment in Character and Leadership (ICL) Campaign. Without your support, this great program we call “Scouting” does not exist. Please feel free to contact your local field office if you have any questions.
