As the summer season is coming fast and the Council Camps are making preparations for their summer camp operations, there are still a few key positions that we are still trying to fill.
If you love the outdoors, working with youth, and don’t mind getting paid to do it, we have the perfect solution.
Melita Island is looking for a couple of boat drivers to help with their water sports activities. Candidates must be at least 18 years of age and should have some experience driving power boats and pulling water skiers.
We are also looking for an A.C.E. director. A.C.E. ( Advance Camper Experience) is our program for older boys and is a series of mini higher adventure activities throughout the week. Candidates for this position must be 18 years or older and in good physical condition to help conduct and participate in the higher adventure activities.
If you are interested in either of these positions please contact the Melita Island Camp Director Libby Brindley. Libby can be reached at [email protected], or you can contact the Council Program Director Shon Ostler at 406-241-6014 [email protected].
K-M Scout Ranch is looking for someone to teach the Welding Merit Badge. Candidates for this position must be at least 18 years of age and have experience with welding. Welding equipment is provided, so only your skills are needed.
For more information about this position, please contact K-M Camp Director Alex Schofield. Alex can be reached at [email protected], or you can contact the Council Program Director Shon Ostler at 406-241-6014 or [email protected].
Both camps are always looking for more CITs to participate at camp. What better way to get your young scouts out of the house for a couple of weeks this summer.
CITs will also begin to earn years of service credit for the Camp Staff Scholarship program. Applications for the CIT program as well as information about the Camp Staff Scholarship program can be found on the Council Web Site: https://bsamontana.wpengine.com/leading-scouts/camp-staff/
Come and enjoy the great outdoors this summer while making a difference in the life of a youth.
